The real issue is how the present day Muslims view
the Babri structure. Do they consider it as their holy place? If
the answer is yes, then they end up owning the barbarism of Babur
and others like him. The right way for Muslims to act is to distance
themselves away from such vandalism of the past. When the Germans
are asked to apologise for the crimes of Hitler, they do not hesitate
to do so, clearly indicating that they do not own Nazism.
