The National secretary general Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) shri Milind Parande today said that the Hmar Students Association of Manipur state has issued a ill-intentioned press statement on 22nd May 2023 falsely claiming that Tipaimukh is 100% Christian. The 2011 Census report gives Christian population to be 94.73%. The 2021 census has not been conducted yet. If there are supposedly no Hindus now, what has happened to the Hindu population? Has anything very bad has happened to Hindus to have no Hindu population existing there now?
According to our information, in 8 districts in Manipur, there have been at least 1693 incidents of arson and attacks on MEITEI /HINDU HOUSE/RELIGIOUS STRUCTURES. Figures are likely to increase as more reports are awaited, he said.
